Google Chrome – A breakthrough

It’s 0342hrs at where Serge is and he is testing out Google Chrome. So far, it is everything that Google said it will be, memory footprint of Chrome is not that bad; though it’ll be nice if it was using less. Then again Serge is pushing Google Chrome to the maximum.

Probably due to the current tweaking he has done with his Vista, Serge could not fully maximized Google Chrome, however even after restarting the browser many times the Google Chrome has yet to crash. 10 tabs open and nothing serious yet.

This is the default homepage of Google Chrome which list down any recent page you have gone to recently. As well as bookmarks which you have made. Really nice for people such as Serge who always opens up the same pages.

This are the options menu available, nothing much really just your basic stuff and its quite simple to use actually. Works really great with Google Gears

Now this is, this is Serge’s favorite part about Google Chrome. The Incognito Window. Never in his life has he ever felt save porn surfing the webspace.

This here is a system that makes shortcuts of any webpages which you’re currently visiting. You can have it as a desktop shortcut, a quicklink or to the Start Menu. Useful, though Serge won’t be using much of it.

Web designers will be fapping right now, as this is something like Firefox’s Firebug add-on. A nice handy tool to check the elements of a webpage and all of that. Not as intensive as Firebug, yet it is nice to have.

In this developer section, another goldmine of Google Chrome, is the ability to debug JavaScript and there’s a console as well. Serge has no idea on JavaScript, so this is something he won’t touch at the moment.

For our final screenshot, it will be this website showned under Google Chrome. Does a really good job actually. Although it did not look exactly as what it was on Firefox, but it is really really close to it. Serge would like to say, Chrome’s interpretation of this site’s stylesheet is excellent.

There you have it folks. The awesome of Google Chrome, he will be back later once he does the traditional rundown of Chrome and pushes it to the limits again!.
