Where do we begin in this asshattery ? For Serge’s companions who does not know, Malaysia’s National Fatwa Council has issued a fatwā (Arabic: فتوى; plural fatāwā Arabic: فتاوى) stating that Yoga is prohibited by the Muslims to practice. Its chairman Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin stated that this ancient form of exercise which has been practiced for over thousands of years, incorporates physical and religious elements as well as chants and worshiping, aimed to “be one with God”.–source The Star
