Deception and Lies
A reporter did her job, got arrested and was freed later on. One guy too famous for it and really, we do know the truth of what it is. Then we have an MP who has been offered an extension of an additional 27 days to sit her political ass in a confine of 6′ x 8′ with bad food and such. This is what has been stated by Teresa Kok’s mom in a statement given after she had visited her daughter.
I hope she can regain her freedom and come out as soon as possible and continue to live an ordinary life, instead of being detained in a cage like a dog. They locked her up once she walked into that room, which is only 6′ x 8′. She is not allowed to read newspaper or any other reading material. She lost all her freedom!
“I feel so sad. Yes they gave her three meals a day, but the food is bad! She had diarrhea this morning, and her blood pressure plunged!
“Her dad did not notice it, but she was so pale when we met her. It pains me seeing her like that. I never expected that my daughter, who spend 2/3 of her time a day servicing the people, fighting for the people’s interest and right, can end up like this.
“This Bahasa Malaysia newspaper purposely defamed her, twisted the facts just to get her into trouble, to victimize her.
“I can only encourage her. I told her we are people who believe in God. Bible told us those who are victimize because they fight for justice are the blessed people. Such people are children of God. I encourage her with these words. I told her not to give up but keep on praying.”
The powers that be is playing a dangerous card. A very dangerous card and if history has a hand in this, let us say that the players has lost this decisive battle.

As we all know about the ISA and how they have oppressed the citizens with their abuse of power by placing some known and unknown individuals in detention. For Serge’s counterparts not from Malaysia, the ISA (Internal Security Act) is a law that allows arrest of any person without the need for trial in certain defined circumstances. Circumstances that according to the law books is when someone threatens the security of the country.
Some of you guys out there must be having a heart attack, those who works for human rights movement and those who practice law. “Arrest of any person without the need for trial“, scary isn’t it. But this how it is here in this country over here. What can be said, is that out of the hundreds of people that was arrested and placed under indefinite detention; only 1% did threaten the security of the country. The rest of them, well it is all about politics.
Politics of regaining power and staying in power. Elections has passed, yet we see that the political party UMNO is trying their best in both legal and illegal manner to reclaim what they call their rightful throne. Some uses dialogue and some uses fear tactics to gain a lost throne and from what we have experienced in the last 5 days, has proven that the shadow players love fear above all else.
It is hilarious and disheartening on how they use the ISA to try to regain power. History has proven without a shadow of doubt, that it will repeat itself and repeat every 20 years. Pause any thoughts you might have at the moment and let’s get some facts of this 20 year phenomenon.
In 1968, Umno fanned racial sentiments in a bid to ‘unite’ the Malays under its banner. Umno realised that the Malays were abandoning it in droves and it needed an issue to reunite the Malays. Further to that, the Prime Minister was being blamed for what Umno perceived as a loss of Malay support and the Young Turks in Umno wanted to also use this issue to pressure the Prime Minister into resigning.
Twenty years later, in 1988, Umno again went into turmoil with the emergence of Team A and Team B, which eventually split into Umno Baru and Semangat 46. Again, just like twenty years before that, the Malays had become disillusioned with the Umno leadership and there was a danger that Umno would suffer the same fate it did in 1969 if the general election was called.
In 2008, UMNO takes the country to the brink of a race riot in its effort to ‘unite’ the Malays and to ensure that it does not lose Malay support. And the 8 March 2008 general election, as well as the recent Permatang Pauh by-election, is proof that Umno has lost Malay support.
–Raja Petra
Sad to say this but we the people who are bred in Malaysia is going to be in deep shit soon. Too damn deep that the smell from the foul faecal matter cannot be washed away. From a certain source , the recent ISA arrest can be seen as UMNO’s way to regain power and this will not be the last of it. The source has stated that the true fight will come somewhere in December, as that is when the real battle starts. As December is when UMNO will have their general meeting. Heads will roll, people will be imprisoned.
And people who might not even be threatening the the security of the country, but was just doing her work as a reporter. Tan Hoon Cheng was recently freed from detention and holds the record for being detained for 20 hours, a record really.
Why was she arrested in the first place and place under detention ? The answer is simple but it comes at a price of losing logic and your mind by the answer that holds it. Tan Hoon Cheng was merely doing her job as a reporter, to report, to write and to tell to her country what is going on and what has been said.
Apparently, press freedom is something that has screwed over. She (Hoon Cheng) reported what was stated by Datuk Ahmad Ismail’s reckless description about the Malaysian Chinese as beings who are just squatters in this country. Oh woe it is for freedom of speech that was supposed to be guaranteed here.
Her release in less than 24 hours occured and they the people who instigated her arrest stated it was done as method to save her life. Albar claimed that Tan was detained for her safety as the police believed her life was “under threat”. Serge feels sick from all of this hoo-ha and hopes that the other two (Teresa Kok and Raja Petra) will be released soon.
Of course Raja Petra will be released soon enough due to the fact that he is the nephew of the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, the eleventh Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia and the seventh Sultan of Selangor. On the part of Teresa Kok, well we have really no idea when she’ll be release.
Dark clouds loom and the tempest that it brings will certainly wash many countrymen to pack their bags and get the fuck out of here as soon as they can. All that Serge can say is,” It is going to be a long December“. God save us.
