Rites of Passage to the River Styx
Somewhere last week Serge’s father’s third brother passed away in his sleep. It was a peaceful death for someone who has serious health issues. How was the rites ? Well as a person who does not follow the Chinese prayer style, Serge did not know what was going on. From the actions of the priest and what was being done, he compiled the answers.
Gold paper origami-ed as offerings, same paper thrown on the road for the spirit to follow. They follow not to be lost but to entered the path of redemption. Of hopes and dreams and forgiveness to those who has trespass against the spirits.
