After Comic Fiesta 2007

With the power of the Geass, we command you to read the following entry.

Code Geass

Recently on the 15th and 16th of December, a congregation of over 3000 plus people converge and move their asses in to Times Square. This was not an illegal gathering, but a legal gathering from all walks of life that had one thing in common.

One thing in common is that we all love good anime , mangas , doujins and anything in that circle. What Serge is talking about is Comic Fiesta 2007, probably Malaysia’s leading group in the Anime Comics and Games (ACG) scene.

Canon Girls

Yesterday Serge received an email from Nic pertaining to the prizes which he has won during the Sembang Tech-ED impromptu blogging challenge that was held. The email contained the shipping details and like a puppy who just gotten a new ball to play with he checked the tracking number to see where on Earth is his package at that time. Obviously it was in Singapore, so he asked himself on when it will arrive here in Malaysia at a little known corner known as Kelana Jaya. The clock struck at a number which beckons Serge to sleep.

Helvetica

To us designers, this font is known as a San-Serif font. In typography, a sans-serif or sans serif (sometimes just sans) typeface is one that does not have the small features called “serifs” at the end of strokes. The term comes from the French word sans, meaning “without”.

The Helvetica font was created by Miedinger with Eduard Hoffmann at the Haas’sche Schriftgießerei (Haas type foundry) of Münchenstein, Switzerland. Originally called Neue Haas Grotesk, the typeface’s name was changed by Haas’ German parent company Stempel in 1960 to Helvetica — derived from Confederatio Helvetica, the Latin name for Switzerland — in order to make it more marketable internationally.

Gary Hustwit directs and produced Helvetica, a documentary film that commemorates the 50 years it has been with us.

You scored as Ion, You’re Ion! You’re a very timid person, but you’re known for your compassion and concern for others. You wouldn’t want those close to you to get into a fight, ever.

Prepaid Wars of Maxis and Digi

Right now Maxis’s Hotlink and Digi’s prepaid are the top 2 prepaid services in Malaysia. And like all service providers out there, they try to best each other with good rates, free gifts and other items that say, “HEY CHOOSE ME.. THAT ONE SUCKS”.

This is a good thing, in fact Serge is happy to see this competition going about. With them competing with each other, the advertisements are hilarious. The best he heard so far is how Maxis disses the Digi 50 days 50 Viva contest with such ease. Good job Maxis.
