Tweetybird Updates

Well one thing is for certain, Twitter tool by Alex King has a delay. The IM session was one of the worst as it took 2 hours from IM to Twitter to update on their end and then an additional 2 hours for the plugin to make a post here. Tried from cellular and this is way hilarious, as it takes about 6 hours or nearly the next day before the post on the site appears. Still looking for a good Twitter plugin so that Serge can update via cellular Twitter.

Twitter the non aviatory animal

Well it can be said that through their desperation the company managed to fuck up and not get our login ids ready and they want us to start taking calls tomorrow. Of which Serge is scheduled at 1000hrs and that is oh-so-fine. Today, 2 calls taken with the used of a backup id and those two were just awesome and scary at the same time.

Apparently there has been some number of people who have started to follow Serge on the Twitter system. About 10 minutes ago Jake Marsh began to follow Serge. Jake’s site has the Leopard OSX feel which is so damn awesome (just love mac), Serge would love to probably change his theme one day to that theme. However there are somethings that needs to be settled first.

Leaderboards and Nuffnang

leaderboards-and-nuffnang

Serge is definitely sure that something went wrong with Nuffnang and their coding for the leaderboard advertisement. Why ? Simple really, before 3rd February 2008 began the leaderboard advert was working find with no issues what so ever.

Normally, it is on a sunday that a new advertisement will come into play. And ever since Sunday until now, the advert hasn’t been displayed yet. Need to follow up with Timothy on this.

Sheep among the wolves

sheep-among-the-wolves

Being at that event felt weird. Too many new faces, very young faces. Did not see the old generations, only one Serge recognized was Albert, Shaz, Suanie and KY, the old and gold bloggers. The others were names such as Doink, Quaintly and some other “famous” blogger.

Serge was like a sheep among the wolves, most the new people started out somewhere in 2005 onwards. As for him, he started in 2002 so that is 6 years of blogging. Being prideful, it feels good to have a stable fan base who keeps being anonymous and never leaves a comment. But what are we to do ? *shakes fist*, though the sad part of it all is the fact that 90% of the fan base is not from Malaysia.

Advertising and Money Making

As the days passes through and all of us here would love to make money and money is the root of all that kills to some, we are left to the satanic cult of advertising. Thus after receiving his cheque from Text Link Ads, Serge has realized that he needs to generate income for his site to maintain it till he hits the ripe full age of death.

So he search the web and read many articles. Of which he chanced upon this article which was entitled “How I Make Money from Blogs - My Top Earners“. The author wrote things which was somewhat beneficial to Serge. Later on he read the article entitled “The Top 5 Uncommon Timesavers for Bloggers“.
