It begins with an end

Look around folks, do you see it ? Yes this is it, this is the new theme for Dustyhawk :: Broken Mirror. The previous theme has been used for the past 1.5 years and it was one of the best theme Serge has ever used. Like all good things, it will come to an end and at every end there will be a beginning.

Therefore with more tweaks, kicks and mixes in the php and hopefully no bitchery, this theme for Serge will be it for probably a year or more.

Clean Slates of Harddrives

And so today after nearly 365 days, Serge reformat Escaflowne-VII and spanks his lovable computer that had been slowing down with junk. The reformat of Escaflowne-VII (formerly known as Louisa-VII) took place around 1500hrs and now at this time, Serge is busy tweaking the systems and basically doing what he does best. Just 500 steps behind Edrei’s geek level is Serge at.

Well then, time to get back to tweaking the system, which consist of AVG and Lavasoft scanning and one more round of defragmenting.

Serge returns after 48 hours of being server dead!

As many of you have realized by the amount of Plurk which Serge has done for the past 48 hours or so, his server was down for count due to some unknown disease. As a person who post everyday or at least once every two days, this was such an excruciating pain not to post at all. It is no wonder that he doesn’t mind paying the big moolah to be connected all the time if possible.

Jackalope Haunts Serge

Well, Ubuntu 9.04 codename Jaunty Jackalope is out and by the Gods of Torvald, she looks sexy and has the right curves on Serge’s Ultrasoul-II. Loading time has improved dramatically since Gutsy Gibbon and with the built in drivers, it works with just minor alterations.

Being the smart ass that he is and the love to geek things out even before someone has done it, Serge took the Netbook Remix for his Escaflowne-VII and installed. No problems with the installation but lo and behold some items that is flipping the tables as he now updates the system and locates for fixes to the following issues

RSS Really Simple Shitup

Well this post is just Serge’s rememberance that even though one has made the best custom setting for their RSS feed it is not necessary for him to go and tweak it some more. Either it is his suave and awesomely cool groove armada or his complexity of trying to fix everything; Serge has managed to fscked up his RSS and nearly had to redo from scratch. Fortunately, he was smart enough (yeah yeah..happens once in a blue moon) to switch on to Google Reader and found the plugin which he had deleted and that plugin was Better Feed by Ozh.
