Broken Mirror is the main part of the Dustyhawk “Broken” series. In which the other two comprises of “Broken Pixels (the “place where he keeps his photos).
Before Serge added Broken Mirror to the main site, his site used to have many names such as
- A Savior Made
- Weblog and Poetry
- Neverwinter Nights
- The Eleventh Hour
- Jars of Clay
and many others. That was until he took Broken Mirror and stayed with it.
The term Broken Mirror was borrowed from the song Small Two of Pieces. The chorus of the lyrics begins as such :
Broken mirror, a million shades of light
The old echo fades away
But just you and I
Can find the answer and then
We can run to the end of the world
We can run to the end
Of the world
Serge chose Broken Mirror as it symbolizes the fact that this writer is ever broken and that his life keeps on reflecting. With each broken mirror the light of his life reflects back and forth in an infinite manner. With this reflection, it shows that there are many sides to Serge such as the writer, Leo the one who loves and Dustyhawk the guy who hates. It reveals the split personality of sorts.
The additional “with that Cool and Alternative look” came from a verse from Unemployed Boyfriend by the group Everclear. For now, he cannot think of why he added that in.
