Over the Blue Mountains

The Australia 2010 Trip

And so after Serge’s First Night, on the next day he headed off to the Blue Mountains. We borrowed our cousins 4WD to get there and it took us about 2 hours from Ashfield to Blue Mountains.

Now Blue Mountains consists mainly of a sandstone plateau, the area is dissected by gorges up to 760 metres deep. The highest point of the range is 1,190 metres above sea level. A large part of the Blue Mountains is incorporated into the Greater Blue Mountains Area World Heritage Site, consisting of seven national park areas and a conservation reserve.

The weather for the day was hot, abso-fuckking-lutely hot. As a growing man who loves his heat, this was ridiculous. On a mountainous region with mountainous heat. It was the only time he lathered himself with white creamy sun block. A money shot face of the pornographic kind comes to mind.

The air that we breathe in, refreshing like the morning dew and the greenery; fantastic !. We stopped at a few locations here and tried very much not to act like a tourist. Unfortunately, we failed badly. Serge would like to say that for those coming here, you will need at least 3-5 full days to enjoy everything here.
