Well for me, Ubuntu is kinda like my sandbox to the world of linux. I'm irritated by the fact that it takes such a long time to load. My laptop only has 512MB too, and it is rubbish trying to run development for Blog Friends under it - I can run either gedit for editing the source code, or firefox for testing the edits worked, but not both! Still, I now have 6GB of RAM in my development server (I need it for running everything!) and it *flies* under Gutsy. Soooo fast, and all the pretty visual effects to boot. Awesome!
