First and foremost, this movie is probably one of the best movie which Mike Myers has ever starred in. Although his Austin Power movies were good, Serge did not like those but the Love Guru is something else. Serge would like to say if Myers continued to star in films such as this, Serge would be a fan of his.
What is the Love Guru about ? It’s all about Guru Maurice Pitka (played by Myers) who tells about his story and how he is hired by Jane Bullard (played by Jessica Alba) who owns the Toronto Maple Leafs. Guru Pitka’s job is to bring together Darren Roanoke and Prudence Roanoke (played by Romany Malco and Meagan Good respectively) back together so that Darren can perform well in the Stanley Cup final.
To begin Darren and Prudence were a power couple and everyone in the hockey business knew about them. Yet lately things did not go well and Prudence left Darren to be with Jacques “Le Coq” Grandé (Justin Timberlake), who has one of the longest penis in the movie causing a the envy of many men.
Guru Pitka though a renown love guru has not been in a real relationship due to a vow placed upon him by his mentor Guru Tugginmypudha (potrayed by Ben Kingsley). In this movie we see how he coaches Darren to get back to Prudence and at the same time, Darren teaches Guru Pitka about love and everything in an unconscious manner.
In this movie, we have many cameos by famous people such as Mariska Hargitay, Jessica Simpson, Kanye West, Val Kilmer, Morgan Freeman (voice), Rob Blake, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey, Chris Rock. Even Mike Myers potrays himself in this movie.
All in all Serge give this movie 3.5 out of 5.
