As one might have noticed for the past few days, this site was being stripped naked from its essence. Mainly because he the owner, who is known as Serge was placing a new set of wardrobe for the Broken Mirror. Wordpress 2.5 to be precised.
From a former 2.2.3 user, Serge moved to 2.5 after figuring out why his FTP client was being an asshole to him. Nevertheless, that issue resolve and 2.5 is up and ready and that is when all hell opens up and fucks him over as though he was bending over while trying to pick up THAT soap. So what’s the deal ? Simple, new interface, plugins that wasn’t compatible and themes that was not 2.5 friendly at all.
Trying to find a theme that fit and that was awesomely awesome was not awesome, though at the end of the day he did find one. Plugins were easier though and that had no screw-ups at all. Though Serge would say that the template editing was something else. With the advent of 2.5, some templates became depreciated and therefore new syntax had to be used. Of course that wasn’t so bad or so Serge thinks.
Bad move, really bad move. In 2.5 when a syntax has 4 conditions, you had to put in information for all four sections of that syntax or you could face with a page that looks like *points to some random animal*. CSS was quite okay to deal with thanks to Web Developer plugin and which Serge gives many thanks to Edrei for the help.
In short, Dustyhawk :: Broken Mirror is now on WP 2.5. Side tracking on this momentous occasion, we shall speak about the life of his.
We begin with work and it is fine so far and no asshattery has happened. What we can say is, if the company followed their own proper standards; Serge is damn sure that out of the 32 people in this batch, only 15 will pass. They (company) must be really in a big crisis mode to lower down their standards.
Next up is life, of which on Saturday it was a shisha and a movie and just being gay. While on Sunday it was him facilitating and then getting a free meal. Awesomeness fills the airwaves.
