Repeat of the past ?
Monday, February 25th, 2008(CNN) — A powerful earthquake (7.3 Richter scale) hit off the coast of Indonesia’s Sumatra island Monday (25th February 2008) afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey’s Web site reported. … The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a local tsunami watch, but none has been reported.
Although there has been no news of any tsunami yet, one has to wonder what will happen if a tsunami did happen again. The last time the Indonesians experienced a tsunami was about 2 years ago on the 19th of December 2007, a week before Christmas and that caused 4 people to die, 7 heavily injured and 25 lightly injured (source).
