Not so humble

The day for Sunday began with him heading off and facilitating Confirmation for the SFX students. Then he donated blood and discovered that Serge was a B[astard] Posi+ive type.
From what the nurse mentioned during the vampiric experienced, a Positive Rhesus blood type cannot go into a Negative Rhesus blood type even though they are under the same family. However a Negative Rhesus blood type can go into both. One extra cool factor is that in Malaysia, the one who has a Negative Rhesus are those of Indian decent. Not sure how much this is true, but it is rather interesting.
Blood donation done and headed off to Klang for some Japanese lunch near Jusco Bukit Raja. Home called and in about 2 hours or so later was tossed off. To Old Klang Road by his own mother to do something for her friend. What was to be a boring trip, turned out to be something deeply profound.
What Serge was to do was just to get something into the uncle’s computer for him to view dwg files, which is a format for AutoCAD. With that done, uncle introduce Serge to another uncle.
With that a networking is done between the old and the new. One was an expert in concrete and the other an expert in palm oil. Though they need not have much knowledge on tech stuff, what they have imparted on Serge’s noggin was something. This comes from the years of experience of being an adult and being old.
They advice and counsel Serge on how to answer an interview. Not to be too humble and not to be too boastful. This statement hit him like a rock, for in days of yore he would have humble himself much. But this teaching has changed many things. Learn about the company, show enthusiasm and some knowledge of the job. Yet, do not show too much.
Thus ends the day of Sunday and this next part begins the session of yesterday called Saturday.
In the evening, headed off to deru’s place for a pot-luck open house. There was Zu Yong, Patricia, Iskandar, Bryan, Alexander, Teri, June, Fara, Ezel, Beatrice, Jennifer, Victor, Joseph, Shoji the man who gave Serge the Kampung Baru experience and Serge feels that he has forgotten some names. The Astaga Sandwich was awesome.
The people loh sang, there was spaghetti, pasta, drinks, this and that in glorious awesomeness. Card game followed and home it was.
