Pre-Eve of Chinese New Year Eve
By Serge Norguard. Filed in Personal, Work Related |And so today we woke up and went to the Industrial Court for an asshattery that happen about 8 months ago. Those who have followed this site would have known what this was about. Amazingly enough and the sad part of the matter is that the judge who was to preside this particular case was on leave and thus the hearing has been postponed. This is the time where Serge would love to cry and smile at the same time. A cry for it is just stupid and smile for at the end of the day he has nothing to lose, nothing to lose at all.
There was suppose to be a shisha session with Serge being one of the attendees, he did not go as this is the eve of the Chinese New Year Eve. Besides, going into Kuala Lumpur at this particular day is madness as many cars will be trying to flow out of there. Why ? Well, to the fellow citizens who does not know, on the eve of Chinese New Year which falls on the 6th of February, the Chinese will have their traditional reunion dinner. And with that reason, they travel back to their home town.
Although Serge is 101% Chinese, he does not follow all the traditions of this festival to the T and his matron somewhat the same, though the matron does follow some traditions. Traditions such as getting new clothes, cleaning the house before the eventful day and then not cleaning for the first two days. Of course Serge is not bothered, as long as the matron is happy he’ll err willingly oblige.
This year, the Chinese New Year preparation seems to have been going smoothly. Too smoothly for Serge’s liking. Well nothing else to say but do check out the following sites.
