Impersonality
Many times Serge has kept hearing other people who is older than Serge tell him to listen to his elders because they are wise and what not and in most cases this is true. But there are times in this short life that we have, that the young generation has their golden moments and wisdom that far surpasses their current age. Of which we who we call ourselves adults need to acknowledge.
While going through some Livejournal entries, Serge was captured by the writings of Esther. Normal clockwork will dictate that Esther’s writing style in previous entries was that of a teenage girl with hormones raging and with a narcissistic I I I ME ME ME kind of entry. However, this entry is fresh and shows how much this person has matured in the past year that Serge has known this person through the digital medium.
The entry of hers is that of soul-searching, should one write maturely but lie to oneself or be childish but be true to the heart. Questions such as this takes time to answer and even if there is an answer, we do not know if it is the correct answer. We sentient beings will always be scared of things we do not understand.
There is a movie which Serge has watched and he believes that it came from Gattaca of which one of the characters said this :
“I rather be a fake somebody than to be a real nobody”
In anycase, Serge thanks Esther for that entry as he was on the verge on breaking down as he did not know what to write. Not to mention if this keeps happening, getting that will be out of the question.
