Square-Enix, a great company. They brought to the gaming world the Final Fantasy series, Dragon Quest until the year 2005 and recently they gave us the Kingdom Hearts series. Games that will always be remembered for the characters, the storyline and the gameplay.

And like all companies who finds their proverbial cash cow, they begin milking it. One such cash cow is known as Final Fantasy VII and in the opinion of Serge, one of if not the greatest Final Fantasy games so far. Of which the following spin offs were made : Advent ChildrenLast OrderBefore CrisisCrisis CoreDirge of CerberusLost Episode.

We do know that if you milk a cow too much that cow can die. Square-Enix knows this, so what do they ? Find another cash cow of course. That bovine that brings in the bucks is Kingdom Hearts.

After the successful 1st game, they (Square-Enix) went on and remade it and thus it became Kingdom Hearts Final Mix +. Another hit and gain many more fans.Of course there was Chain of Memories and it was followed by Kingdom Hearts II.

Now, where’s that cash cow ? Besides adding on Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories (both of it being the same game with extra stuffies), they started on 3 sets of Kingdom Hearts game. They are 358/2 DaysBirth by Sleepcoded.

This 3 games will not be on 3rd generation consoles such as Wii, PS3 or the XBox 360. They will be on portable systems. Birth by Sleep on the PSP, Coded on a mobile phone and 358/2 on DS Lite.

Kingdom Hearts is a cash cow. And just for kicks in an site he just read but forgot to save the url, a commentor mentioned this :

“I don’t think Japan understand how much the rest of the world doesn’t play on cell phones. Isn’t that right, N-Gage? “
