Sometimes in the IRC channel which Serge has taken a residence in, does give out in sight of what some people think are right and what is wrong in their own humble opinion.

For that night, the talk about self worth was a hot topic even though it lasted for less than an hour. But it is hot, in the opinion of Serge. One of the users was talking about how they lost their virginity just because they just wanted to keep their word. Mind you, Serge only condones sex when both party has a mutual and understanding to what happens with sex.

In one of the sentences, a discussion on how degrading it was for a woman to pose naked on the internet or have people watching them having sex (pornography). Where is the self-worth in that ? For those under a conservative background, sex is meant to be private and to be done with the ones they love. This is consider taboo and self-worth is null and void.

But before we start cursing pornstars and people who likes to be naked. Let’s see it at their point of view, let’s see things differently. For in the opinion of Serge, what they do can be considered self-worth for them selves. Take note, this is just an opinion.

Probably DMJewelle sum it up the best on why it is possible that they see this as self-worth.

[23:22] {DMJewelle} empowerment
[23:22] {DMJewelle} the choice to do what they want without men saying their sick

Self-worth, everyone has it. It is whether we ourselves acknowledges it. For one of the main essence in Self-Worth is respect of self as well as acknowledgement. Without this elements, even a holy priest has less self-worth than a prostitute who respects and acknowledges herself.
