[B50] Thruthful

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Personally speaking, this has been one of the most tiring blogathon he has came upon. For on the Saturday he was out since the afternoon and came home about one hour till the event begun. Therefore if we counted from 12 pm… plus 9 hours, Serge has been awake for 33hours when it reaches 9pm.

There are many things which could have been done but it was all lost. Maybe.

Tallest twin tower in the world so far. Unless some other building has beaten it. But it is impressive.

Throats dry from too much Pringles. The saliva of his mouth has evaporated. With that pic, oh how he wish there was some shop like that in Kelana Jaya.

[B47] Fourteen

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Number 14 is considered to be one of the unluckiest numbers in Chinese culture. In Mandarin, to avoid confusion with other characters, the number 1 is often pronounced as “yao” in a numeric sequence; therefore, 14 when read as a numeric sequence is “yao si”. “Yao si” is also the pronunciation of “going to die” (要死 pinyin yào sǐ). In Cantonese, the normal pronunciation of fourteen is “sap6 sei3″, which sounds like “sat6 sei2″ meaning “certainly die” (實死). –source

Hilariously speaking, this the date that Serge was born. Well we can’t away from the reaper and Serge will eventually die. Though with this kind of belive, people are just stuck with it. Serge’s matron and his sister somewhat believes in the asshattery known as “bad” numbers.

[B45] Sweet Contemplations

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Contemplating on life, the universe and everything inbetween,
A sweet contemplations with only one simple answer,
Yet that answer given was not what the traveller wanted,
But thruthfully speaking, no one knows the ultimate question for the ultimate answer,
Thus it is true that forty two is the answer, we all seek,

[B44] - Double Death

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

In chinese culture the number 4 is considered lucky in some regions of China where it is homonymous in the local dialect to the word “事” (job, business, or task). When the number 4 is encountered during a celebration, people would often remark “四四如意”, which would also refer to “事事如意” (Everything done as wished); however, it is more commonly seen as bad luck in modern times, especially in dialects where its pronunciation is homonymic to the word “death” (死).
