July the 4th, America celebrates their independence day. While they celebrate, Serge would like to talk to you about Blogathon. As one has noticed with the amount of post during the 2 weeks were always about this great event. For those who know, Serge has participated in Blogathon 2005 and he raise about $150++ in donation for Unicef. This year he will once again, ‘thon for Unicef.

One may ask, why Unicef ? Why this charity? Today Serge will explain on his choice. Being the last child in a family of 3, Serge had things easy. Really easy. Then one day in his life his parents divorce causing a collosus winds of change to his life. Of course during that time his brother and his sister were already successful at work, while Serge was still struggling to score the grade. You can consider that what Serge felt was not a physical abandonment but an emotional abandonment. Before the divorce happened, one could feel the heavy air that bodes.

It has been 10 years unofficially. During the age of 17-21, Serge who had a lot of free time in his hand even with college; decided to help out in charity such as PS : The Children and Unicef Malaysia. This was the turning point in his life, as he saw the little kids and teens who is without parents run about laughing and playing; Serge knew his life wasn’t as bad as theirs. They had it worse as some were abuse, abandoned, neglected etc. Serge was actually better off than them, so with that feeling of empowerment; something had to be done.

His reason was simple, because of thing that has happened in the past, Serge will not allow kids of all ages to suffer what we adults has done to them a long time ago. That is why, Serge appeals to all of you the readers to help him out in this Blogathon. Staying awake for 24 hours is not an easy job but Serge can tell you one simple thruth.

The easiest job as a reader is simple, pledge ! That is all you need to do just pledge any amount to his cause. Serge’s decision to choose Unicef was not easy, yours the reader will be.
