or “Why Serge doesn’t enjoy Chinese Weddings”

So he left his home around 1300 to arrive at Pontian Kechil at about 1700. Obligatory salutations to his godparents. To wait for about 2 hours before leaving the Pontian home to go for the dinner. The wedding involved the godfather’s daughter with a man (obviously). There was about 100 tables seating 10 jack and jill asses, of which 20 tables was reserved for the serge’s godfather’s relative and about 30 table for the bridegroom. Therefore about 500 people has now becomes Serge’s relatives and in-laws.

Like all chinese weddings, it starts late. Arrival of guest and relatives 1900…actual start time about 2030. Food was like good, in the opinion of Serge. Left around 2300 to reach KL at about 0100. Besides having to start late as part of the reasons why he hates chinese weddings, Serge hates it because the amount of chicks he can go after in that small community has dwindled down. In the words of that yoghurt chain, “I can’t believe it’s yoghurt” … Serge says this :

I can’t believe they’re my in-laws

To make things worse, there is another 2 people in his godparent’s house hold who is not married yet :P. Oh how he wish incest wasn’t a crime as there are no boys in that household.
